A Russian citizen was detained in Minsk, who tried to fly with his daughter to Sharm el-Sheikh. However, when checking, it turned out that the passport of a one-and-a-half-year-old girl was fake, the press service of the Border Committee of the Republic of Belarus reports.
Judging by the video camera recordings, the child’s document immediately attracted the attention of a Border guard officer. He scanned the passport several times, and then began to examine it under a magnifying glass. As a result, the border guard radioed colleagues who asked the girl’s father to come along with them for a conversation.
During the interrogation, the man did not deny it. He said that he is currently divorcing his wife, and the child’s valid passport is with his mother. Therefore, the detainee did not come up with anything better than to order a fake document on the Internet for his daughter in order to fly with her to an Egyptian resort.
As a result, the border guards handed the man over to the Interior Ministry staff, and the child was returned to the mother.
It should be noted that some Russian citizens, in case of problems with the law or restrictions on departure, often try to go abroad through the Republic of Belarus. For example, not so long ago, border guards detained a tourist with a Russian passport printed on a printer at the Minsk airport. According to him, the man tried to fly to Yerevan. At the same time, a real passport of a citizen of Kazakhstan was found in the passenger’s luggage. The violator explained the forgery quite simply – he was banned from entering Armenia, so he had to turn on ingenuity.
