The most popular airlines and trains for Russian business travelers

Raketa, a digital platform for organizing business trips and managing expenses, conducted a study and found out which airlines are in the greatest demand among Russian business travelers. In addition, the experts of the platform analyzed the preferences of business tourists in relation to rail transport, which ranks second among the means of communication for business travelers after air. The most popular airlines among business travelers are Aeroflot, S 7, Utair, Air Astana and Turkish Airlines

According to the results of the spring of 2024, the most popular airlines among corporate clients were Aeroflot (in the first position), followed by S7 and Utair (second and third places, respectively). Rossiya Airlines also entered the top 10 (fourth position), followed by Pobeda, Smartavia, Ural Airlines, Yamal, IrAero, Aurora from the more popular to the less popular. Among foreign carriers, Air Astana holds the lead, Turkish Airlines and Belavia took the second and third positions, respectively. The top ten most popular also included Scat, Emirates, Qazaq Air, Uzbekistan Airways, Hainan Airlines, Qatar Airways, Flydubai.

Tickets to reserved carriages are bought for every fifth business trip*

Rocket experts also analyzed which train tickets are most often bought by employees of Russian companies for business trips. “In the spring of 2024, compartment cars were in the greatest demand. Tickets for them were purchased in 54% of business trips (when choosing rail transport), — says Daria Zubritskaya, Director of marketing and communications of the Raketa digital platform. — 22% are tickets for carriages with seats, 21% for reserved carriages. Tickets to the SV and luxury wagons for business trips were purchased only in 3% of trips by rail.”

Most often, this spring, they went on business trips by train to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tyumen, Krasnodar, Surgut, Rostov-on-Don, Yaroslavl, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg and Voronezh.
