The court issued a verdict against a passenger who attacked an employee of the dining car. The incident occurred last August on the Novy Urengoy –Moscow train. A 29-year-old man came to the dining car and began demanding from the cook that he sell him alcohol. 

The desire to drink got the better of my mind. Having been refused, the tourist attacked the cook. He hit the employee on the back of the head. This caused the woman to lose consciousness and fall to the floor. However, the passenger did not calm down and continued to beat her. As a result of his deliberate actions, the woman suffered minor harm to her health.

According to the Ural Transport Prosecutor’s Office, which controlled the investigation of the incident, the man admitted guilt in the crime and repented of what he had done. The court, taking into account the opinion of the public prosecutor, sentenced him to compulsory labor.
