According to the Aviatorshchyna telegram channel, the landing gear of the Red Wings airline with passengers on board caught fire during landing in Moscow.
The incident occurred on the night of June 5-6 with the Boeing 777 airliner, which was flying from Sharm el Sheikh (Egypt) to Moscow (Zhukovsky).
During the post-flight inspection, the technicians noticed “a fire in the area of the braking device of the middle external pneumatics of the left landing gear.” It was extinguished with a hand-held fire extinguisher.
Experts checked the brakes and wheels of the aircraft and found no damage. The aircraft was suspended from flights for the duration of repairs, but on June 7 it went to Egypt.
