Почему постоянно задерживаются автобусы между Белоруссией и Польшей

Recently, regular buses running between Belarus and Poland have been constantly delayed and depart several hours late. Intercars bus company, which operates international flights, in its official Telegram channel told about the reasons for the violation of the bus schedule and about the situation on the Belarusian-Polish border.

According to Intercars, it sometimes takes more than 30 hours for a regular bus to cross the border at the Brest–Terespol checkpoint (Belarus-Poland) on peak days. This is due to a number of circumstances: sometimes checkpoints can be closed for technical reasons, there may be many buses at this checkpoint, since it serves not only regular buses, but also tourist buses, in addition, representatives of the Polish side reported that due to the threat of illegal migration, permanent movement of checkpoint employees is required, which leads to increased waiting time.

Therefore, passengers are advised to take into account the possibility of significant delays at the border when planning a trip, when purchasing tickets, they must leave their current contact details to the company in order to receive SMS alerts, and monitor the company’s messages on social networks.

Recall that since September 19, 2022, Poland has restricted the entry of Russian citizens with visas from any Schengen countries traveling for tourist, cultural, sports and business purposes. However, for holders of foreign citizenship and residence permits, as well as for Russians traveling for humanitarian reasons to visit close relatives, which include direct ancestors and descendants, a bus ride through Belarus and Poland is one of the most budget options to get from Russia to Europe and back.
