Turkish air traffic controllers have officially announced that they are ending the so-called “slow” strike at Antalya airport after the intervention of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
“The situation with our two-month campaign “Work without initiative” has been resolved. The President personally instructed to resolve this issue. As a result of the meetings we held with the authorities, ministries and departments gave a guarantee that the law on aviation compensation will be put on the agenda of parliament,” the HTK—SEN industry trade union, which organized the strike, said in a statement.
The participants of the action called Inisiyatif Almadan Çalışma (“Work without initiative”) demanded that The Civil Aviation Authority and the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure will increase salaries and improve working conditions.
