According to WioNews, the tourist town of Lopburi in Thailand is being terrorized by packs of monkeys. They fight with each other, spoil property, steal food and various items from local vendors and tourists, and sometimes show aggression towards people.
To restore order, the city police were armed with slingshots. In addition, the head of the police has created a separate police unit to combat monkeys.
Employees of the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Protection also catch the most violent primates and take them into the jungle.
At the same time, local residents advocate that the monkeys be left in the city. After all, it is a large number of them that attracts tourists to Lopburi, due to which the population has an income.
