Regular buses began to run from Kutaisi airport to the city. Travelers have been waiting for the appearance of this route for a long time: previously, passengers had to use exclusively frequent cars, transfer buses and taxis. There is also a railway station near the airport, so tourists who arrive at this air harbor often take trains and go to Tbilisi, Batumi, Poti and other cities of Georgia.
There will be 3 buses operating on the line. They go from the David Agmashenebeli International Airport to the center of Kutaisi – to the square where the Colchis Fountain is installed. The one-way fare is 5 Georgian lari (approximately 172 Russian rubles). Bus schedules on this route, according to representatives of the carrier company, will be coordinated with the arrival and departure times of flights at this air hub.
Commenting on the appearance of this line, Deputy Minister of Economy of Georgia Mariam Kvrivishvili expressed hope that thanks to these buses, more guests arriving in Kutaisi will remain in this region.
Recall that Kutaisi airport is located 14 kilometers from the city.
