Almost 200 travel agents from 67 cities have learned how to sell heavy luxury at the Sequoia travel school of the Russian Express Holding. The training took two months, and the graduation of the first stream took place in mid-March. We talked about the results of the course and future plans with Daria Loseva, the ideologist and founder of the Sequoia school. But first, the reviews of graduates of the “Heavy Suite” course. How did the training go?
— We are proud of our graduates, — says Daria Loseva, — because it was not just a course, but a real luxury marathon! We supplemented the lessons with experts with live zooms, masterminds and did not part with the students for almost two months. In the chat of the course, life was boiling and is still boiling.
Feedback was collected constantly, after each lesson. And, of course, finally — after the course, at the graduation, where we heard a lot of warm words and a million thanks. There were also constructive suggestions for improving the product. We fix everything, we will apply it.
I assess the first results of the project extremely positively. The team and I gave our best 100%. There was everything: attention to detail, a high level of shooting, material, content, course development and methodology.
Will we improve the product? Absolutely! It’s never perfect, because it can always be better, and that’s the point of development and growth. As soon as we think that something is perfect, we stop seeing and receiving feedback.
Who are the new courses for and when will they start
— We plan to hold two more courses before the end of this year, — Daria continues the story. — In May, we will launch training for beginners in tourism, the name is already ready: “Travel Expert from scratch to the first million”. The course is suitable for those who just want to get into tourism, as well as for heads of travel agencies who want to “upgrade” the skills of their employees, but cannot or are not ready to spend their time on it.
There is a serious shortage of personnel in the professional tourism market right now, so we ourselves — I mean our holding company — are very interested in this flow. Russian Express is a company that keeps a serious focus on learning. We have an internal training center for employees, and a corporate training portal is being developed. The holding company is growing, and we constantly lack cool guys.
Therefore, among the newcomers who will be on the course, we will also select those who are passionate about tourism and want to work in a large company. We are ready to take such stars into the team and develop them inside the holding after training.
We are not disclosing the details of this course yet, but we recorded a short video and opened a pre-recording, it’s all here. The training in the next course will be longer than in the “Heavy Suite” course. It will last almost three months. This is justified — after all, an introduction to the profession.

In May, we are also planning a “Smart departure” with one of the best business coaches in Russia. This will be a unique event — no one has done this kind of project yet — everything is as we love it! The number of seats on the trip will traditionally be limited. The priority is for our students, of course.
