IPG brokers.Estate has closed a deal for the sale of a production and warehouse complex with a total area of 13,500 square meters in the south of St. Petersburg. The buyer was a manufacturer of food products.
The buyer company decided to acquire ownership of the production facilities due to the need to expand production. The facility is located in a good location – near railways and highways of federal importance, and is also fully engineered to accommodate energy-intensive industries, including food.
As a result of the transaction, the production company acquired a production and warehouse complex with a total area of 13,500 sq.m. The deal also included a 3-hectare plot of land.
Philip Chaika, Partner, Head of IPG’s Warehouse and Industrial Real Estate Department.Estate
“The active demand for the purchase of ready-made facilities for production needs in recent years has led the market of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region to an acute shortage of supply. At the moment, there are practically no liquid areas offered for sale in the city limits. Despite the increase in the key rate, the buyer managed to agree acceptable financing terms with the bank and enter into the transaction in a timely manner.”
