The Governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, discussed with the residents of Kolpino and the head of the district the future prospects of the territory adjacent to the fountain complex in the park on Vera Slutskaya Street, and gave instructions on the continuation of landscaping.
In the area of Raumskaya Street, it is planned to improve the territory of about 10.7 hectares. There will be quiet recreation areas, playgrounds and sports grounds. An extreme recreation area will be created – a pump track for cycling on difficult terrain, a skate park, a mini-football playground and a work-out sports area. The territory for youth active recreation will be isolated, separated by the landscape from the quiet recreation area.
It is planned to create an ecoterritorial area on the shore of Izhora. There will be a “lilac garden” and a zone with benches on the route. Thus, the landscaping of the left bank of Izhora will be fully completed.
“Landscaping will continue, taking into account the wishes of Kolpino residents. New squares, playgrounds, sports grounds and other facilities will appear in the surrounding areas that will appeal to residents and guests of the district,” Alexander Beglov stressed.
