Where do Russians go on vacation now? This question was answered by the Center for the Study of Consumer Behavior (CIPP) of Roskachestvo. He has compiled a real list of countries and Russian regions in demand.
According to this survey, only 12% of the traveling tourists went abroad. Turkey won among the countries – 22% went there, followed by Abkhazia — 14% and Egypt — 13%. The UAE closes the top five winners with 11% and Thailand with 8%.
At the same time, 88% traveled across Russia, with 52% leaving their federal district, and 36% did not leave its borders. The most popular travel destination was Krasnodar Krai — 23% of Russians have visited there over the past year. The Volga regions (Nizhny Novgorod, Cheboksary, Kazan, Samara, Saratov, Volgograd, Astrakhan) were suddenly in second place — they were visited by 15%. And St. Petersburg and Moscow turned out to be only the third most popular: 11% and 10% of Russians chose them, respectively.
Our tourists travel mainly in the summer — 57% voted for it and went in the summer. Another 38% go in autumn, 29% in winter. At the same time, 62% go to relax and unwind and only 23% choose active recreation. Most often, tourists travel with their family — 29% of them.
