Residents of countries with diplomatic relations with China will be able to visit the island province of Hainan in the south of the country within the framework of a 144-hour visa-free regime as part of tourist groups of travel agencies registered in the administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macao. This was stated by the State Immigration Department of the People’s Republic of China.
This policy applies to all public open checkpoints in the province. However, activities for tour groups are limited within the administrative region of Hainan Province.
According to the new policy, each tourist group must consist of at least two people, and the whole group must enter and leave together, writes People’s Daily Online.
Earlier, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People’s Republic of China reported that the quality of air and water in China has steadily improved in the first half of this year.
