A new attraction has appeared in the Emirate of Sharjah – the Kalba Hanging Gardens have opened – the first such project in the UAE.
The gardens are a huge blooming park located on different levels. More than 100,000 trees have been planted on 15 hectares occupied by Kalba’s Hanging Gardens. In the center there is a large waterfall, a picturesque cascade flowing down from a height of more than 250 meters. There are two spacious restaurants on site, which overlook the beautiful landscapes. Playgrounds have been provided for children in kindergartens, divided into 3 zones depending on age. Fans of an active lifestyle will also like the park: there are trails of different levels of difficulty for climbers, there is an almost kilometer-long running track. You can travel around the park on an excursion train designed for 55 passengers. It follows an 820-meter route and stops at 4 stations.
According to the Government of the Emirates, this park should attract tourists to Kalba, a small town in Sharjah, and contribute to the development of the economy and culture in this region.
