According to the Office for Migration in Turkey, over the past year, 153 thousand residence permit cards were issued to Russian citizens. Of these, 132 thousand people received a tourist residence permit, which is issued for one year with the right to extend.
Iraq took the second place in the ranking of countries whose citizens received the largest number of residence permits in the Republic of Turkey — 131 thousand people. On the third line were Syrian citizens who received 100,000 residence permit cards. The fourth place was taken by citizens of Ukraine — 47 thousand people.
The ministry also noted how many foreigners live in the territory of the state with a Turkish residence permit — 1.354 million people.
Most of the visitors register in In Istanbul, now their number has exceeded the mark of 706 thousand people. This is followed by Antalya — 158 thousand people.
Compared to 2021, the number of legal residents in Turkey has increased, there are more than 40 thousand people.
