Cases of severe food poisoning have been recorded in Thailand. Russians vacationing in Thai resorts claim that the situation is massive.
In an interview with LIFE, travelers note that medicines from local pharmacies do not help to cope with the symptoms of the disease, and some tourists were forced to use medical insurance to go to hospitals.
At the same time, the Russians claim that they did not eat anything special. The tourists’ diet is the most ordinary.
“I didn’t eat anything exotic with my husband. Plain rice with seafood in cafes. It was bad for two days, a high fever rose, and only antibiotics saved us, we barely got out. But we lost two days of vacation,” our compatriots complain, Komsomolskaya Pravda Radio writes.
Earlier, Thai authorities warned that a deadly disease, anthrax, could enter the country.
