Tourists were offered the “Egyptian Maldives”

The tour operator Biblio-Globus has started sending tourists to the Mediterranean resort of Egypt – El Alamein, which is sometimes called the “Egyptian Maldives” for the picturesque coast.

The flight from Moscow to Cairo is offered by Aeroflot flights, the tour operator’s strategic partner in tourist air transportation. Arrivals are until October 25 inclusive, which is understandable: the climate in the Mediterranean is cooler than in Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh located on the Red Sea, so the summer season is suitable for recreation. 

The cost of tours is announced from 81.3 thousand rubles per person, we managed to find in the online booking system of the tour operator on the date of departure on July 21 and an option for 77.8 thousand rubles (actual as of 18:30 on July 1. – Ed.). There are two hotels in the line today, both of the Rixos chain – Rixos Alamein 5* and Rixos Premium Alamein 5*. Observers do not exclude that the choice is due to the attractive terms of cooperation that a hotel chain interested in expanding in Egypt and actively building new hotels in this country could offer the tour operator.

One of the wishes of the tour operator is to expand the hotel range. 

The Egyptian Tourism Authority announced its intention to promote holidays on the Mediterranean Sea among Russian tourists back in March. At that time, the possibility of charter flights from our country to the airports of Alexandria, New Alamein or Mars Matruh was even discussed. In May, on the sidelines of the African Tourism Forum, the tour operator Fun & Sun noted that it was considering plans to put a charter in El Alamein, for this it was necessary to complete preparatory work in the airline. As experts explain, in order to receive flights from Russia, the airport must be certified by Sheremetyevo Security JSC. Charters to El Alamein are flying from the capital of Belarus, Minsk, this summer.       

Representatives of the Egyptian tourist delegation made policy statements to actively offer “another Egypt”, including holidays on the Mediterranean coast, at the Arabian Travel Market exhibition in Dubai in early May. It should also be recalled that the authorities of Egypt and the United Arab Emirates signed an agreement on the construction of a new resort Ras al-Hikma on the Mediterranean coast. Investments may amount to more than $ 150 billion, the opening dates have not yet been indicated.
