Доля самостоятельных путешественников в РФ выросла на 11%

“In 5 years, the share of those who have experience in self-organization of travel has increased from 37 to 48%. At the same time, the share of supporters of buying package tours has decreased from 14% in 2019 to 9% today. Working citizens (11%) and high-income Russians (11%) apply to travel agencies more often than others,” Interfax reports a message from the press service of the NAFI analytical center, which conducted the study.

It is clarified that almost every second resident of Russia has the experience of organizing travel independently, while the majority prefer to buy tickets and book hotels exclusively on their own (39%), and one in ten alternates self-organization of travel with the purchase of tours (9%).

Experts have found that over the past 5 years, almost twice as many Russians intend to book hotels and buy air or train tickets themselves when planning trips, and the share of those who intend to rent a car has also increased slightly.

“The request for package tours from agents also persists, especially among Russians who trust ready-made solutions from industry experts. And here we see the prospect of growing interest in vouchers, especially if the tour operators themselves take a number of steps – expand the range of offers not only for foreign trips, but also for domestic tourism, taking into account financial opportunities, cultural and geographical needs of different travelers,” said Lyudmila Spiridonova, executive director of the center.
