According to NDTV, part of the roof in Terminal 1 collapsed at the airport of the Indian capital Delhi this morning due to heavy rain and strong winds. At least one person was killed, six were injured, and several cars were damaged.

Indian Minister of Civil Aviation Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, arriving at the scene, said that all departures from Terminal 1, which serves only domestic flights, were suspended. He also added that the airport will temporarily transfer flights from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 and Terminal 3.

“Heavy rain early this morning led to the collapse of the canopy of Terminal 1 of Delhi Airport. As a result, all flights from Terminal 1 have been cancelled until further notice. Alternative measures are being taken to ensure the smooth operation of the airport,” the Indian aviation authorities said.
