A passenger got into a stampede at the Adler railway station, as a result of which she was injured. Upon returning home, the tourist filed a civil lawsuit against Russian Railways, the press service of the Dzerzhinsky District Court of Volgograd reports.
According to the case file, in July last year, Ksenia Ya. It was located at the station of the city of Adler. The woman followed from the platform to the passenger checkpoint. At some point, there were too many people on the moving escalator, some lost their balance and fell, including on the plaintiff. At the same time, the station staff did not stop the escalator, and Ksenia was injured.
The passenger went to the hospital, where she was diagnosed with a closed injury of the left ankle joint. Having a medical certificate, the woman went to court to demand compensation from the company for moral damage in the amount of 100 thousand rubles. It was in this amount that she estimated the consequences of the inaction of Russian Railways employees.
The court, in turn, agreed with Ksenia’s arguments, considered them sufficiently justified and decided to recover the full amount from the united joint stock company, as well as the cost of the legal costs incurred by the plaintiff – about 8 thousand rubles more. However, the decision has not yet entered into force, and the defendant can still appeal against it.
