In 2025, Thailand intends to receive 2.1 million tourists from Russia.

“This year we expect 1.9 million tourists from Russia. In 2025, with a good combination of circumstances, we are ready to receive about 2.1 million Russian tourists,” Interfax quotes Duangjai Kantiranon, executive director of the Thai Tourism Office for Europe and the Middle East.
Since the beginning of 2024, 1.1 million tourists have visited Thailand, in 2023 – 1 million 483 thousand travelers from the Russian Federation, including more than 350 thousand people from the regions of Siberia and the Far East.
It is clarified that the average duration of trips of Russian tourists to Thailand in 2023 was 17 days, and the income from tourists from the Russian Federation was 96.3 billion Thai baht.
“In the last two years, especially this year, the number of Russian tourists who travel to Thailand in the summer has been growing. If in the pre-crisis years 50-55 thousand tourists visited the country every month in the summer, today – at least 60 thousand, and in August – 83 thousand people. Apparently, the trend of Thailand becoming an all-season destination will continue,” Duangjai Kantiranon stressed.
