The Space Travel tour operator gathered fifty of its best retail partners at the Space Stars Awards following the results of the past year, as well as several dozen hoteliers, host companies and other contractors. The venue for the large-scale event was the Dubai resort complex Madinat Jumeirah. |
Pleasant impressions for the guests of the Space Stars Award began from the first moments of the forum. The Jumeirah Al Naseem, Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf, Jumeirah Al Qasr and Jumeirah Beach Hotel hotels were selected to accommodate the tour operator’s partners. Some participants had the opportunity to stay for a few days at the Jumeirah Burj Al Arab — the very “sail hotel” from which the modern tourist history of Dubai actually began.
The first day was set aside for personal acquaintance of all participants and began with a small joint adventure. A Santorini yacht was chosen for the welcome party, provided by BENO, which specializes in yacht, helicopter and premium car rentals.
The vessel moored in the marina opposite the new Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab Hotel, which is part of the Madinat Jumeirah complex, which itself is built in the shape of a yacht. It has become a visual addition to the already existing “Sail” (Jumeirah Burj Al Arab) and “Wave” (Jumeirah Beach Hotel).
Important acquaintances continued the next day at a workshop at the Madinat Jumeirah Conference & Events Centre. Representatives of 50 hotels and host companies from the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Thailand, Maldives and even Greece gathered in the large hall. The event was an excellent opportunity for travel agents to establish direct contacts with service providers.
As Artur Muradian, CEO of Space Travel, said in his opening speech, the company is interested in strengthening relations between agents and hoteliers, without having any concerns about this. “We proceed from the fact that we are all partners here, and our common goal is to improve the quality of services and comfort of our common customers,” he said.
After the workshop, a traditional raffle of gifts from the participants took place. One of the most coveted prizes was a ride on a premium Lamborghini Huracan sports car from the partners of the Octane Luxury Cars Rent workshop.
The main event of all four days — the gala dinner and the Space Stars Award Ceremony – was held in one of the most expensive halls in Dubai. The Al Falaq Ballroom is located on the twenty-seventh floor of the Jumeirah Burj Al Arab Hotel. The theme of the ceremony was the Vienna ball and the eyes of the guests of Jumeirah Burj Al Arab were pleased with a particularly spectacular sight.
Heroes and awards
The main characters of the evening were travel agents who received awards in the form of a guiding star of Space Travel. The company’s strategic partners were not ignored either: Jumeirah Hotels also received prizes and recognition for their long-term partnership.
Ten triumphant travel agents were presented with custom-made rings with precious stones. Original jewelry received:

The main prize of the ceremony was awarded to a travel agent from Moscow, Marina Deliaver-Biteneva.
Entertainment and impressions
The next day was held under the motto “Relax and have fun.” It started with an afterparty at one of Dubai’s most glamorous beach clubs, Summersalt Beach Club in the Madinat Jumeirah complex. On normal days, it is only available to guests from certain room categories. But even they couldn’t get here in those few hours: the club was open only to friends of Space Travel.
The day ended at the popular Topgolf Dubai Golf Club. The aristocratic game here is combined with sincere excitement and pleasure. All participants received memorable prizes from Space Travel’s long—time partner, the Dubai Department of Economics and Tourism.
Scale and prospects
Space Travel is holding its ceremony for the second time. As the participants note, this time the event turned out to be much larger.
“It is clear that Space Travel is adding significantly: this year there is a completely different scale, a completely different presentation of the event. Even the gala dinner was held in one of the most luxurious hotels in Dubai, which had previously been visited by not all travel agents from among the guests. In general, it is clear that the competition for getting to the Space Stars Award was very high, and this makes all the winners especially significant,” says Aleksan Mkrtchyan, CEO of the Pink Elephant network. — And what everyone especially noted is the significantly expanded composition of the workshop participants compared to last year. If last year there were only partners from the UAE, then this year Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Maldives and even Greece have been added to them!”
Artur Muradyan, CEO of Space Travel, stressed that the Space Stars Award will continue to expand the geography of participants and partners, as this fully corresponds to the growth strategy of the tour operator itself.
“We are once again gathered in The United Arab Emirates is not just for awarding the top 50 of our dear partners and friends, but also to simply relax together and spend time with benefit for themselves. I am glad that there were many familiar faces from last year, as well as new friends and partners who joined us this year.
