Russians will be able to travel to North Korea

Россиянам станут доступны путешествия в Северную Корею

Sightseeing tours from Russia to North Korea will start in February. The country has already formed the first group of tourists from various regions. It is noted that the republic attracts the attention of Russians with its uniqueness and lack of mass tourism, — informs Pravda.Ru .

The cost of a four-day trip is $ 750, or 67 thousand rubles. This amount includes a three-day stay in the country, morning meals, a flight from Vladivostok to Pyongyang and travel around the republic to the Masikren ski resort.

The North Korean state strictly controls the actions of foreigners and provides them with special instructions that describe in detail the rules of stay in the country. These include the inability to use international credit cards, roaming charges, and Wi-Fi. Also, a certain expensive SIM card is required for mobile Internet.

Prices for services and goods in North Korea are comparable to those in Russia. For example, the cost of lunch in a restaurant varies from 10 to 30 dollars (900-2,5 thousand rubles). Tourists are prohibited from importing books, travel guides about the country and materials promoting Western values. On the other hand, gadgets are not confiscated and photography is allowed. However, when leaving the republic, customs officers can check the images for the presence of undesirable content and request its removal.

The Russian Union of Tourism Industry is confident that North Korea will attract travelers with its exoticism, but it will not become a mass tourist destination.
