In February, according to the Russian statistical agency, organized tourist trips to Egypt rose the most – by 14%. Tours to Turkey are in second place – by almost 11% and trips with a tour operator to the UAE are in third place – by 6%.
Holidays in Abkhazia, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia rose in price by 5%, in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan – by 4.5%. In Russia, there is an increase in prices for the cost of hotel rooms – by 4%. In transport, economy class flights showed a significant increase – they rose in price by almost 13%.

The Federal Antimonopoly Service has filed a case against S7 Airlines due to dynamic pricing. Earlier, the agency demanded that S7 provide a clear and reasoned pricing procedure, but the airline decided to challenge this requirement in court and appealed against the decision of the Moscow Arbitration Court on the FAS warning. According to S7 Airlines, the decision of the court of first instance has not yet entered into force and the FAS is running ahead of the locomotive.

There were no surprises with the first place – Turkey leads the summer top service: 22% of travelers want to go there from June to August. But the second place, or rather, even the share of requests – 18% to Georgia – is unexpected and surprising. Moreover, the remaining 18 countries showed results at the level of statistical error compared to the leaders – from 4.6% (third place, Armenia) to 1.1% (20th place, Maldives).

From the news about the introduction of a new passport control system (Entry/Exit System – EES) in the EU, it turned out that entry into Schengen would be possible only with a biometric (ten-year-old) passport. The European Commission clarified that this was not the case: “The refusal of entry is not based solely on the fact that the traveler does not have a biometric passport. In cases where he has a valid travel document giving him the right to cross the border, a valid Schengen visa and meets all other conditions set out in the Schengen Border Code, a biometric passport is not required.”
Bulgaria, which has joined the Schengen Agreement, promises to start issuing Schengen visas on April 1. However, so far only in Moscow. The remaining 25 branches have not been accepting documents for more than six months.
