A resident of the Republic of Tyva tried to get compensation for the flight using fake tickets. She provided the documents that belonged to her daughter, modified in a graphic editor, to the Public Services portal.
According to the Interior Ministry, the pensioner planned to receive payments for the way to the place of rest, which are due to residents of the Far North and equivalent areas. The woman expected to be reimbursed for flights on the routes Kyzyl – Krasnoyarsk, Krasnoyarsk – Moscow and Moscow – Kyzyl. In total, about 32 thousand rubles.
To receive compensation, the applicant can provide an electronic ticket for Public Services. A specialist from the local branch of the Pension and Social Insurance Fund sent a request to the airline about the need to confirm the authenticity of the submitted documents. However, the carrier replied that there were no such persons among his clients.
Then a representative of the Foundation reported the situation to the police. Law enforcement officers detained the pensioner and found out that the tickets actually belong to her daughter, and the data in them was changed using a graphic editor.
A criminal case has been opened against a resident of Tyva under Part 3 of Article 30, Part 1 of Article 159.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Attempted fraud in receiving payments.” She’s on her own recognizance now.
