On Elbrus, at an altitude of 5,000 m, two climbers from Moscow got lost. According to the Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kabardino-Balkaria, information about the emergency was received at the desk at 15:44. Specialists of the Elbrus high-altitude PSO of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and rescuers of FGKU “Leader” immediately moved to the site. It is also noted that the group was not registered. Further information is being clarified.
A day earlier, the man needed the help of specialists from the Leader center when climbing the eastern peak of Elbrus. At an altitude of more than 3 thousand meters, he felt unwell, and an urgent evacuation was necessary. The victim was taken to the village of Tereskol and handed over to doctors. Assistance was provided by 18 specialists of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
And in early March, the incident with a tourist on Elbrus ended in tragedy – a resident of Tula died trying to conquer the peak without special equipment. As explained in the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the man was dressed in sports clothes and shod in ordinary sneakers. “In violation of all safety rules, the tourist set off in the direction of the summit without appropriate equipment. The unjustified act of the man led to a tragedy,” the Elbrus high–altitude search and rescue team commented.

At about 19:00 Moscow time, information was received that everything ended well – the tourists were found. “The group was evacuated to a height of 3,800 m to their tent camp, they refused further medical assistance,” the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kabardino-Balkaria said.
