In St. Petersburg, they may begin to fine for non-payment of the resort fee

In the first reading, a draft law was supported, according to which fines may be imposed on non-payers of the resort fee.

As Kommersant reports, deputies of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg supported the introduction of fines for both accommodation facilities for violating the deadlines for transferring the resort fee to the city budget, and for tourists for refusing to pay the fee.

In accordance with the initiative, hotels, hotels and hostels in case of violation of the transfer deadlines will be able to receive a fine from 10 to 30 thousand rubles for officials, from 30 to 50 thousand rubles for legal entities.

For tourists who refuse to pay the fee upon check-in, the fine will be from 500 to 2 thousand rubles.
