Unusual pictures of famous landmarks have become part of the photographer’s project called “Day and Night”. Fifteen hundred frames of each object were taken within 15 hours from one angle and then combined into photographs.
Take a look at the stunning works of Stephen Wilkes and live one day in the most beautiful places on the planet in an instant.
Amazing pictures were taken by Stephen Wilkes from 2009 to 2018 in different parts of the world for the Day and Night project. The African plains of the Serengeti and the crowded Trafalgar Square: these stunning panoramas will not leave you indifferent.
Serengeti Plains: Different species of animals drink from the same source in the Tanzanian National Park. The shooting of this location lasted 26 hours.
Trafalgar Square: the photo was taken in 2013. Steven had to climb the scaffolding to capture the beautiful panorama.
Stonehenge: The picture was taken three years ago. Near the stone pillars, people in 18th-century outfits can be seen.
Brooklyn Bridge: A 2016 photo shows the sun rising and setting over New York City and its river.
The Grand Canyon: The photographer spent 27 hours shooting in the most beautiful place in Arizona. He managed to capture a crowd of ten thousand tourists and even a thunderstorm.
Falkland Islands: For 36 hours, Wilkes filmed the unique habitat of hundreds of thousands of black-browed albatrosses.
Central Park: This is one of the first photos of the project that started in New York. The winter landscape is simply mesmerizing.
Eiffel Tower: the picture was taken in the rain from the height of a 12-meter lift in 2014, despite the bad weather.
Stephen Wilkes’ stunning photo project makes an indelible impression on the viewer. Thousands of frames and hundreds of hours of work were worth it to get such a spectacular result. Unfortunately, there are dark sides to every beautiful place. Tourists are not allowed there and are not advertised in travel agencies, but photographers managed to capture the world’s attractions from an extremely unfavorable angle.
