The first flight to Elista airport will take place on May 28 from Zhukovsky Aviation company near Moscow, it will be operated by Red Wings airline. This was announced by the head of Kalmykia, Batu Hasikov.
The first airline to launch flights to Elista, will become Red Wings, flights to Zhukovsky on the Sukhoi Superjet 100 will be performed twice a week.
After that, Red Wings plans to open flight lines in Elista from Sochi and Yekaterinburg.
Other companies have not yet announced plans to start flights to Kalmykia.
