The implementation of measures for the development of the tourism sector will make it possible to receive about 10 million tourists by 2030 and ensure an increase in the share of the tourism sector in the gross regional product to 7.5%. This was announced by the Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Ganziy at a meeting of the Presidium of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea.
“In order to further develop the sanatorium and tourist complex, work has begun on creating a strategy for the development of tourism in the Republic of Crimea until 2036. We have invited all sanatorium-resort, hotel, tourist enterprises, educational institutions, scientific and public community, all concerned Crimeans to this work,” the minister said.
According to the Minister, as part of the work on the development of the tourism sector until 2036, it is planned to focus on ensuring the integrated development of the tourist territories of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Including the creation of engineering infrastructure facilities and tourist complexes; the development of promising types of tourism for the region that are not subject to seasonal fluctuations, including therapeutic, cultural, educational, event-based, rural, ecological, active types of tourism, the implementation of a program of targeted loading of sanatorium-resort organizations in low season, including for due to the rehabilitation of ITS participants and their family members, as well as citizens of privileged categories of historical regions of the Russian Federation, harmonious integration into the legal field of small and individual accommodation facilities, as well as the development and implementation of a program for the modernization and reconstruction of sanatoriums of the state form of ownership of the Republic of Crimea.
In order to ensure the comprehensive development of the sanatorium and tourist spheres, within the framework of the state program of the Russian Federation “Socio-economic development of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol”, work is underway to create 5 tourist and recreational clusters in the cities of Yevpatoria, Koktebel, Saki, Leninsky and Black Sea districts. Clusters will be created until 2027.
Within the framework of the federal project “Five Seas and Lake Baikal” in the Saka-Yevpatoria region, work is underway to create a federal year-round seaside resort “Golden Sands of Russia”. In particular, it is planned to create 18 3-5-star hotels with a total capacity of 5.3 thousand rooms, year-round tourist infrastructure facilities: heated pools, sports facilities, thermal, medical complexes, an all-season water park, an expocenter, a thematic museum near the monument to paratroopers.
The largest embankment in Crimea with a length of 12 km will be created on the coastline. It is planned to improve more than 45 hectares of modern beach areas. It is planned to create more than 4.3 thousand jobs, the expected additional tourist flow will amount to more than 1 million tourists per year,” Sergei Ganziy said.
