Antalya received more than 14 million tourists from January to October, which is 8% more than in the same period last year. Such statistics were provided by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture of Turkey.
The ministry noted that the province has broken its own record for tourist traffic. In September alone, 2 million 339 thousand travelers arrived in Antalya. This is even more than in August. The positive trend is observed throughout the summer and is likely to continue in the velvet season.
As for the segmentation of the tourist flow, the first place is confidently held by Russian tourists. In 9 months, 3 million 245 thousand citizens of the Russian Federation visited the resort province. Germany is in second place with 2 million 705 thousand vacationers. England closes the top three, from where 1 million 298 thousand tourists came to Antalya. Poland, Kazakhstan, Romania, the Netherlands, Ukraine, the Czech Republic and Slovakia also entered the top ten, respectively.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Tourism expects that 17 million guests will rest in Antalya by the end of the year. That is, in order to fulfill the provincial plan, another 3 million must be accepted. Turkish hoteliers are confident that this is a completely feasible task.
The high season in Antalya has officially been extended until the end of November, so most hotels will continue to operate. In addition, the weather at the resorts is still comfortable for swimming, and the interest of tourists in the province remains.
