Bangkok will host the Amazing Green Fest 2024 Responsible Tourism Festival

This is the first “carbon-neutral event” by TAT (Tourism Authority of Thailand), and the long-standing Amazing Thai logo now boasts a heart-shaped leaf symbolizing sustainable development.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand continues its efforts to promote informed and sustainable tourism — and together with the pioneer in the field of sustainable events, The Cloud is organizing Amazing Green Fest 2024. The event will take place from August 15 to 18 at the Paragon Hall of Siam Paragon Shopping Center in Bangkok.

Amazing Green Fest 2024 marks two milestones in TAT’s commitment to socially and environmentally responsible tourism. First, the Tourism Authority has approved a new logo: a heart-shaped leaf, which indicates its firm commitment to sustainable development, which focuses on society, economy, culture and the environment. Secondly, this is the first carbon-neutral event accredited by the Greenhouse Gas Emissions Management Organization (TGO).

“The event reveals the Management’s vision of improving the sustainability of the kingdom’s tourism ecosystem and its economic value, as well as preserving the biodiversity of natural resources. This corresponds to Thailand’s 20-year National Strategy for Improving Competitiveness and the 13th National Plan for Economic and Social Development — in particular, Stage 2, which involves the development of the state as a sustainable tourism management,” explains the head of the Tourism Department of Thailand Tapani Kiatfaibul.

She adds that the following measures will contribute to the process: “It is necessary to reduce dependence on the volume of tourist flow and pay more attention to travelers with high purchasing power, environmental responsibility and a desire to stay in the kingdom for a long stay. In addition, it is important to pay enough attention to the promotion of the concept of “Hidden Pearls” in order to balance the distribution of tourism revenues throughout the country and raise the standards of sustainable tourism.”

The purpose of the Amazing Green Fest 2024 is to attract the attention of business and government, as well as tourists, to the importance of the environment and the importance of spreading the practice of responsible tourism. Ultimately, this should help strengthen the close relationship between humans and nature.
Amazing Green Fest 2024 will be divided into six zones dedicated to the sustainable travel format:

Green Tourism
A space that tells the story of informed tourism using examples of projects developed with the participation of the Tourism Authority — including the STAR rating system, the Thailand Tourism Awards and the CF-Hotels online platform to encourage entrepreneurs to switch to informed business practices.

Green Business
Here you can see successful business cases with a responsible approach to the environment — including hotels, tours and other offers for travelers, as well as authentic decorative and applied art.

Green Learning
A space for knowledge sharing, including the Amazing Green Stage platform, where seminars on sustainable tourism will be held, open to everyone, as well as The Hotelier 2024 forum for representatives of the hotel and tourism business. It will be attended by industry leaders — including Dusit Thani, Chiva-Som, CROSSROADS Maldives, Eastin Grand Hotel Phayathai, THANN Wellness, Trisara, Sela and Thai Fight Hotel. In addition, the Sivatel Bangkok Hotel organizes a workshop on the management of hotels focused on sustainable development.

Green Food
A market where you can taste dishes made from locally produced ingredients — and presented at the event by restaurants and hotels with a conscious approach.

Green Playground
The Green Playground is a place where children can learn more about the nature around them through workshops and other activities.

The Cloud Sharing Space
A space where you can share your travel dreams.
