According to the TRT Haber TV channel, an earthquake of magnitude 5.6 occurred in the central part of Turkey, in Tokat province, located 300 km from Ankara.
According to AFAD (Disaster Management Agency), the seismic event was recorded yesterday at 18:11 local time. The epicenter was located in Sulusarai at a depth of 5 km.
The tremor caused panic among local residents, it was also felt in neighboring areas — in the provinces of Samsun, Kayseri and Sivas.
There has been no information about casualties or damage so far.
