The State Duma adopted a bill in the first reading, which implies benefits for tour operators selling tours to a number of countries.
According to Interfax, the State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill according to which, when selling a tourist product consisting exclusively of services provided on the territory of friendly countries, tour operators will be able to form financial support for the responsibility of the tour operator in the amount of 500 thousand rubles.
It is clarified that currently such provision is available for tour operators working in the field of domestic and inbound tourism. At the same time, for tour operators working in the field of outbound tourism, the provision is 5% of the total price of the tourist product, but not less than 50 million rubles.
The purpose of the bill is to help promote the Russian travel brand abroad, make tours more accessible to citizens and diversify the choice of destinations in high season.
