Summer in Cyprus is the sea, the sun, an abundance of fruits and the whole range of summer entertainment!

At this time, you need to be especially careful with the sun — stock up on protective creams from 50 UV, good sunglasses and hats, it is advisable to provide light clothing with long sleeves, drink plenty of water. The probability of rain is very low, the weather is dry and hot. The entire coast is burning out, only palm trees and cacti can be found from vegetation, real lush greenery can be found only in the Troodos mountains.

On the sea

Cyprus has an ideal beach season in summer. The entire range of water attractions and sports is presented here. And so, what to do with yourself at sea:

  • take diving lessons from experienced specialists and dive to the Zenobia ferry sunken off the coast of Larnaca or to the underwater sculpture park in Protaras
  • go snorkeling and explore the underwater world of the rocky coast of Cavo Greco or Akamas
  • Go kitesurfing or windsurfing and catch a wave
  • take a boat trip on a yacht or a pleasure boat
  • go to the nearest water park for the whole day
  • banana, cheesecake, parachute, water skiing, scooter, catamarans and canoes

Hiking and walking in Cyprus in summer

Of course, it is more comfortable to engage in these types of activities in Cyprus in the spring, rather than in the summer. Naturally, because of the heat. But even in summer, many natural routes are quite accessible. It is most pleasant to go to the mountains at this time. The most popular summer destination in Cyprus is the Troodos Mountains. The temperature here is always 7-10 degrees lower than on the coast, and even Cypriots go to the mountains for a weekend to take a break from the heat. To start, take a hike around Olympus, swim in the Millomeris waterfall, explore the old forest in the upper part of Troodos. Then you can explore several dozen nature trails in the highlands. It is most interesting to choose those that pass near rivers and waterfalls — there is more vegetation there. Many routes are laid through absolutely fabulous mountain villages (special attractions of our island) and the legendary ancient mountain monasteries of Cyprus.
