According to the Izvestia newspaper, a Russian woman was detained at Pulkovo airport (St. Petersburg), who brought chocolate with cannabis from Turkey.
The woman was stopped in the “green” corridor of the customs control zone. During the inspection, an opened chocolate bar containing a narcotic substance was found in her bag.
Now the tourist can be charged under ch.1. Article 229.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Smuggling of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their precursors or analogues, plants”). She faces up to seven years in prison and a fine of up to 1 million rubles.
