
RIA Novosti writes that in Turkey, off the coast of the resort of Marmaris in the Aegean Sea, a pleasure boat with tourists caught fire. At least 17 people were injured. This was reported by the Navigation Department under the Ministry of Transport of Turkey.
There were 96 passengers, including foreigners, and six crew members on board the Eagles tourist ship. When the fire broke out, some of the vacationers jumped into the water, the rest were evacuated to neighboring yachts and coast guard vessels. 14 tourists have minor injuries, and three more are in serious condition in hospitals.
The burnt-out vessel sank completely, and an investigation into the circumstances of the incident has been launched.
