TASS writes that a tourist drowned in the Sulak canyon of Dagestan, trying to save a girl who fell out of a pleasure boat into the water.
It is clarified that on May 2, a group of five local tourists — four women and one man — purchased a river trip through the canyon by boat.
The driver allowed the passengers not to wear life jackets, and during the walk he performed dangerous maneuvers, which, as he claims, were requested by the tourists themselves. As a result, one of the women was thrown overboard. Her companion rushed to help, he was able to save the tourist, but he drowned.
The driver of the boat has been detained. A criminal case has been opened on violation of traffic safety rules, which caused the death of a person by negligence, this is reported on the website of the Western Interregional Transport Department of the IC of the Russian Federation.
