236 tourists were evacuated from the forest fire area on Dombai

TASS reports that 236 tourists, including 43 children, were evacuated on Dombai due to a forest fire.

The fire broke out in a forest area in the Gonachkhir gorge of Karachay-Cherkessia. All evacuees were placed in a safe place and provided with food. Their lives and health are not in danger. People are planning to be taken out of the disaster zone by helicopters.

Earlier, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the region reported that on the territory of the Teberdinsky National Park in Karachay-Cherkessia, firefighters are eliminating a fire with an area of 5,000 sq. m. 219 people and 54 pieces of equipment are involved in the elimination of a forest fire.
