“If a pipe has burst in an apartment, and the water is already drowning the neighbors from below, and the owners of this apartment are not at home, then you need to immediately contact the dispatch service. This can be done even through the appropriate call button in the elevator, — says the expert. — the dispatcher will call the emergency service, which will block the water throughout the riser. Residents of all apartments located above and below the emergency room will remain without water, but the flood will stop.”
Having quickly blocked the water flows, they will then begin work to eliminate the very cause of the pipe break.
“The management company will search for the owners of the apartment where the pipe burst for up to three days,— explains Fedoruk. — If they find it, the locksmiths will be able to get to the accident site, eliminate it and give everyone water.
