In St. Petersburg, with the attraction of a preferential loan at the expense of the National Welfare Fund, a section of the second line of the main sewer is being built.
This is the main artery of the drainage system, which ensures the livelihoods and environmental safety of residents of the northern part of the city.
“A 2.9 km long section of the collector is being built from the Northern Aeration Station to the village of Lakhta. Putting it into operation will improve the quality of life for more than 500 thousand residents of the city,” said Ilshat Shagiakhmetov, Director General of the Territorial Development Fund.
The work is scheduled to be completed this year. Previously, specialists have already completed the installation of 5 shafts with a diameter of 8.5 to 22 m. In addition, a tunneling complex (shield) was brought to the Northern Aeration Station, with the help of which the tunnel with a diameter of 4.5 m began to be tunneled. Pipelines are being laid at the same time.
According to the administration of St. Petersburg, it is planned to install more than 9 km of the collector in the future. In general, the implementation of this large-scale project will affect the development of promising developments in the north of the city and in the Leningrad region with a population of more than 2.5 million people. The operator of the housing and communal services modernization program with the participation of NWF funds is the Territorial Development Fund.
