The governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, at a recent meeting with the staff of the Imperial Porcelain Factory, spoke about the immediate plans to repair roads in the Nevsky district, where the plant is located.
He said that the reconstruction project of Sovetsky Prospekt in the historical Ust-Slavyanka district is already ready and is currently undergoing state expertise. The city expects to receive a positive conclusion by the end of the year, after which it will begin reconstruction. The avenue will be expanded, the number of lanes will be increased, public transport stops, pedestrian crossings, sidewalks and bike paths will be equipped.
In 2024, it is also planned to replace the top layer of asphalt on other streets of the Nevsky district. Work is already underway on Sedova Street, and repairs will begin this month on Obukhovskaya Oborona Avenue – from Shelgunov Street. In August, work will start on Oktyabrskaya Embankment and Rabfakovskaya Street, which will be put in order during September-October.
The governor also said that this year an important stage of the reconstruction of the Petrozavodsk highway – overpasses through the railway – is coming to an end. The capacity of the highway will be increased in the direction of the Leningrad region.
