Governor Alexander Beglov opened a new building in St. Petersburg the day before‑St. Petersburg Music College named after N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov on Volodya Ermak Street.
In 2021, the teachers of the school appealed to Vladimir Putin with a request to complete the overhaul of the new building, since the old building cannot accept everyone who wants to study music. They also asked to equip it with musical instruments and furniture.
“The President gave us an instruction, we fulfilled it – we completed the overhaul of the ancient building. Now the new building has comfortable and modern classrooms, rehearsal and concert halls, a choral studio, and a recording studio. We have equipped them with modern appliances, musical instruments and furniture,” the governor stressed.
The first rehearsals are already taking place in the new building, but classes will begin in full in September – students will study both in the old and in the new building. Also, starting from the new academic year, the school plans to open a children’s music school for almost 100 students.
The governor inspected the premises of the new building and thanked the builders who did their job efficiently.
