Secondary real estate in St. Petersburg has become more expensive by 10%

In February 2024, the average cost per square meter in the secondary market of St. Petersburg reached 215.1 thousand rubles. Over the year — from February 2023 — the price per 1 sq. m. in the ready-made housing segment increased by 9.61%. In absolute terms, the price increase amounted to 18.8 thousand rubles. These are the data of the experts of the Nevsky Prostor real estate agency.

From February 2019 to February 2024, the average cost per square meter in the secondary market of St. Petersburg increased by 88.4% or 97.4 thousand rubles. 

The most significant annual price increase was recorded in the period from February 2020 to February 2021. During this period, the average cost of a square in the secondary market of St. Petersburg increased by 24.5% or by 30.6 thousand rubles. 

In February 2024, 28.4 thousand real estate objects will be exhibited on the secondary market of St. Petersburg. At the same time, the widest selection today is concentrated in the segment of 2-room apartments. 8.2 thousand lots are sold in this format of objects.
