In accordance with the government’s decision, the preferential mortgage for IT specialists has been extended until 2030. The extension of the preferential loan program on new terms is planned from August this year.
The marginal rate will be up to 6% per annum, and the maximum loan amount on preferential terms will be up to 9 million rubles. At the same time, the rate can be further reduced due to banking and regional programs.
The following requirements are set for obtaining a preferential loan to the average income level of an IT specialist. In cities with millions of people, as well as in the Moscow and Leningrad regions, the minimum wage before deduction of personal income tax is from 150 thousand rubles. In other cities and towns – from 90 thousand rubles per month.
The key goal of the updated program is to retain qualified IT specialists in the regions. In this regard, the program will not apply to Moscow and St. Petersburg.
“Taking into account the extension of the program until 2030, at least 82 thousand regional specialists will be able to purchase housing at a discounted rate,” said Dmitry Grigorenko, Deputy Prime Minister and head of the government staff.
In total, by the end of 2024, it is planned to additionally issue about 4.5 thousand mortgage loans on new terms.
