In 2024, tourists will continue to choose apart-hotels instead of hotels

The occupancy rate of apart-hotels in St. Petersburg in 2023 exceeded the traditional accommodation facilities for travelers – 81% against 63.4%*.

The segment is becoming more and more in demand among tourists – last year, apartments increased occupancy by 5.2%, the average price of daily accommodation (ADR) increased by 11.7%, and average revenue per room increased by 18.3%.Guests of the city 58% more often began to stay for a long time, while the number of accommodations for a short period also increased by 42%.*

Apart-hotels confidently overtake hotels in terms of entering classified rooms – over the past year, 8 apartments were launched for each new hotel room (1.58 thousand units of the three or four “stars” category against 197 rooms in classic hotels).**

The number of new ready-made facilities is also growing: in 2023, 3.1 thousand apartments were commissioned in St. Petersburg, 94% of them are service apartments.*** A third of the total volume was accounted for by the Well apart-hotel on the embankment of the Obvodny Canal – it will replenish the city’s room stock by more than 1,000 units. The demand for the segment is easily traced due to the interest of buyers – last year Well was among the top 3 best-selling service apartments in the city.
