Unfinished municipal and social facilities in the region are awaiting completion or dismantling.
The register of the Leningrad Regional State Property Management Committee includes more than 200 potentially traumatic unfinished buildings, about half of them are privately owned.
“It is important to deal closely with all these facilities. Now they are not only traumatic, but can also become a place for illegal actions. According to the “unfinished works” that are in regional or municipal ownership, it is necessary to dismantle or complete them. We will also have to talk with private owners and give suggestions on all unattended facilities,” the governor of the Leningrad Region, Alexander Drozdenko, instructed the relevant deputies at a meeting in the government of the region on the eve.
Of the 55 objects owned by the Leningrad Region, it was decided to complete 38 and demolish 17. When deciding on completion, priority is given to social facilities. Similar work is underway on 43 municipal facilities. In the future, it is proposed to use the sites for the construction of new structures.
