In the Central district of St. Petersburg on Sadovaya Street, tram tracks have been updated on the section from Engineering Street to Nevsky Prospekt.
A test run-in of the new rails has already been carried out and regular tram traffic will resume on August 28, and all traffic restrictions for motor transport will be lifted in the near future.
The specialists of the contractor company completely dismantled the old canvas and laid new heat-strengthened rails on the base of reinforced concrete slabs, which provide a longer service life. In addition, the asphalt concrete pavement in the rail area was repaired.
