Today, there are more than 145 thousand rural settlements in Russia, of which only 106 thousand are connected by paved roads to the network of public roads in the region.
This was announced by the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Roman Starovoit.
“That is why one of the key areas of our activity is the development of roads in rural areas. The main tool of this work is the state program “Integrated Rural Development”. This year, thanks to her, 192 road facilities will be put into operation,” he noted.
According to Igor Kostyuchenko, Deputy head of the Federal Highway Agency, 484 km of roads will be put into operation in 2024 under the state program “Integrated Rural Development”.
“In general, in the period from 2021 to 2023, 800 km of rural roads were built, reconstructed and repaired within the framework of the state program,” Igor Kostyuchenko said.
