Russian Railways began transporting passenger cars on train No. 92/91, running between Moscow and Murmansk. This train runs weekly, and it is used by tourists who decide to look at the Russian north, the Kola Peninsula, the surroundings of the White and Barents Seas.
A maximum of 4 cars or 14 motorcycles can be placed in such a car carrier. Inside it there are special fasteners for different types of vehicles, as well as fire and security alarms. To travel by rail with your car or motorcycle, you need to make a preliminary application on the official website of Russian Railways or in the Russian Railways Passengers mobile application.
Car transportation is a convenient service for tourists who do not want to make long trips from home to their vacation destination on their own. However, this service is not cheap: delivering a motorcycle in one direction will cost about 14,000 rubles or about 12,000 if you immediately arrange for transportation back, and the car, depending on its actual weight, will cost about 28,000 to 50,000 thousand one way and from 12,000 to 42,000 thousand if you immediately purchase a round–trip option.
